Reports indicate that the Israeli Air Force struck the private home of Maher al-Assad, brother of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, near Yarfur, a suburb of Damascus.
Maher al-Assad, who commands the Syrian Army's 4th Division, was allegedly in a meeting with Iranian officials at the time.
The Syrian Army and government has reportedly lost contact with Maher following the airstrike.
No further details are available at the moment and these reports are unconfirmed.
