The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced they will commence "Military Air Patrols" on the "Disengagement Line" between Israel and . . . . Syria!
This is the line at which Israel sends its fighter jets to fire missiles into Syria. It is shown as a bluish line on the map below:
It . . . APPEARS . . . Russia intends to put a stop to Israeli attacks against Syria.
The big questions:
What if Russia sees an Israeli jet, in Israeli air space, fire a missile into Syria? Will the Russians shoot down the missile, or the jet, or both?
What if a Russian pilot believes the missile was fired AT HIM?
This is getting waaaaaaay serious.
