Israel has no right to self defense because it is an Occupying Power said Vassily Nebenzia, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, during a Security Council meeting this morning in New York.
Specifically, Nebenzia stated ""All the West can do is talk about Israel's right to self defense, even though, as the occupying state, it has no such right..."

Well, well, well. THAT is certainly an interesting legal distinction. Isn't it?
I had to think for a few minutes as to exactly HOW Israel is an "occupying power" and then, it hit me: Any land outside Israel's 1967 Borders . . . is "Occupied" by Israel!
So . . . all the land they grabbed in the battles since then, is NOT theirs.
This is a stunning position to be stated publicly by Russia and it does not bode well for Israel.
