A source for "Novosti" news service in Russia claims the Houthis in Yemen have successfully tested a hypersonic missile! They say they plan to launch them at ships in the Red Sea and at Israel. If this is true, there is NO DEFENSE from such missiles; US Warships could even be sunk by them!
The Russian "Novosti" agency quoted a military source close to the "Ansar Allah" group (Houthis) in Yemen that the group conducted a test of a hypersonic missile.
The source said that the Houthi missile force had tested a missile, which he said was running on solid fuel, and that its speed was Mach 8 (about 10,000 kilometers per hour).
He added that there is an intention to launch its production for use in attacks in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Gulf of Aden, and to target sites in Israel.
He pointed out that the Houthi forces developed their missiles and drones to increase their power, after experiments that lasted 3 months.
The leader of the Houthis, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, announced last Thursday that his forces are continuing to develop their military capabilities, and that everyone will see “the level of achievements of strategic importance that place our country in its capabilities among the ranks of limited and numbered countries in this world,” he said.

This is what the behavior of the Israeli government has caused. Their insistence on dropping bombs on civilian apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, refugee camps, and - as of yesterday - on air-dropped humanitarian aid, has caused someone . . . . no one knows who (yet) . . . to give the Houthis the most highly advanced missiles in the world.
The Houthis began their attacks against Red Sea shipping, and against Israel explicitly BECAUSE Israel was bombing civilians in Gaza. Yet Israel will not stop.
Hypersonic missiles will be able to sink the US and NATO warships in the Red Sea, in the Gulf of Aden and in the Arabian sea. Those ships have been shooting down many - but not all - the missiles being fired at ships or at Israel.
Hyper-sonics change the entire situational equation.
The US and NATO cannot successfully intercept most hypersonic missiles; they're just too fast. Moreover, many of these missiles (but not all) have evasion technology built into them, so if the hypersonic sees an incoming anti-missile, it changes course to evade it. Because the hypersonic is moving so fast, the anti-missile cannot react or travel fast enough to hit it along its changed course.
We seem to now be at the point, where a bunch of sandal-wearing men with dirty towels wrapped around their heads, may be able to actually sink advanced US warships. ALL THIS, because Israel insists on slaughtering people - and now starving them to death too -- in the Gaza Strip.
Frankly, Israel is no longer worth the trouble they cause us. We should cut ties with Israel and let them stand or fall on their own. Maybe if Big Brother backs away, Israel will learn not to pick fights.
As things stand right now, Israel is a tiny little bully that abuses people and countries with impunity because they know Big Brother America will defend them. It's time to let Israel take a beating to learn how to behave in the world.
