The pending Israeli attack upon Iran "is going to be far more forceful than previously decided" and as such, Israel has requested yet a FOURTH Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system from the U.S..
The increase in forcefulness by Israel is a result of the recent Drone attack against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's private home. No one was injured or killed in that drone strike.
Israeli Cabinet ministers were informed that a "very significant attack" will be happening soon in Iran. The ministers will not be informed beforehand of the exact nature of the attack.
Approval of an Iran strike is to be granted at the last moment, for immediate action, to prevent leaks; security cabinet did not discuss the issue at all during last night’s meeting.
QUOTES FROM INSIDE CABINET MEETING:
Netanyahu: We have crossed a bright red line here. I suggest that we hear ideas about what should be done following the attempt to harm me.
Miri Regev: Iran should be attacked directly for such an incident.
Avi Dichter and Yariv Levin: Political symbols should be attacked in Lebanon.
Itamar Ben Gvir: We need to take down a senior figure in the region.
Gila Gamliel: Everyone is looking at us now and waiting to see how we react.
Eli Cohen: This was a crazy event. In no war was there an attempt to assassinate the Prime Minister.
Bezalel Smotrich: This is a mega-strategic event.
Yoav Gallant: A serious incident that requires a severe response; I would suggest killing Nasrallah and the senior leadership of Hezbollah - but we have already done that.
Dodi Amsalem: We should destroy a part of the Dahiya for any such attempt of theirs.
IDF Chief of Staff: We succeeded in thwarting many drones, strengthened our capabilities, and continue to learn and improve. There was a response. At night, we hit important targets in the capitals and the heart of the Dahiya. A justification is needed; we don't just take down buildings. We are also preparing for significant damage during the coming night [tonight, that is].
