FLASH: Yemen Hits ANOTHER U.S. Ship with Ballistic Missiles

FLASH: Yemen Hits ANOTHER U.S. Ship with Ballistic Missiles

The Houthis in the country of Yemen have publicly announced they have fired anti-ship ballistic missiles at the U.S. Merchant Ship "Ocean Jazz" File Photo above) and successfully struck the ship.  CENTCOM confirms this.

The Houthis describe the vessel as a US "military carrier" but it is not known if that vessel was carrying any military cargo or in the actual service of the US military.

The ship was reported to have been struck while in the Gulf of Aden.

UPDATE 1:31 PM EST --

The Yemeni Armed Forces: "We continue to take all defensive and offensive measures within the right to defend Yemen and continue to support Palestine."

UPDATE 1:36 PM EST --

Below is a photo PURPORTEDLY showing the Ocean Jazz vessel burning after the missile hits. HOWEVER, the burning vessel below DOES NOT SEEM TO MATCH the file photo above !!!

The vessel above seems to be a completely DIFFERENT vessel from the "Ocean Jazz" pictured above.   Working now to clarify exactly which ship has been hit and if the image above is actually valid.

ONE (1) Report CLAIMS the ship has sunk. (Unverified)
