On Tuesday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine, will brief "the Gang of Eight" in Congress. This means gigantic trouble.
The "Gang of Eight" in the U.S. Congress refers to eight top leaders—the Speaker, Minority Leaders (House & Senate), and the Chairs & Ranking Members of the House & Senate Intelligence Committees—who receive highly classified intelligence briefings, especially during extraordinary circumstances or for sensitive covert actions, ensuring congressional oversight while limiting information access to those with critical responsibility, as mandated by law for national security.
This is the precise type of action that takes place before our military goes in to do something.
If it were merely Covert Intel Ops, the Director of CIA and/or the Director of National Intelligence would give the Briefing.
So whatever Tuesday's Briefing is, it's military.
Two situations obviously come to mind: Venezuela, and Ukraine/Russia
My bet - and this is just a guess at this point -- Venezuela.
Once the Gang of Eight gets briefed; whatever it is, happens within HOURS afterward.
It is important to understand, they get TOLD; not asked. They are TOLD what is coming and why. So we are, very shortly, going-in somewhere.
