We have been working behind the scenes all this week on restoring this website to the professional, functional, and good-looking site it used to be. But we've hit several **MAJOR** technical challenges as a result of the HACKING that took place last Thanksgiving.
What we have encountered are things that **should** have been easy, but now, are not.
There was far more damage to the internal guts of the site, than any of us ever realized.
In order to get the rebuild right, the site is going to have to be taken offline, perhaps for two DAYS. (Yes, there's that much work to be done!)
The nature of this site is such, that it usually changes several times a day based on what I do, news stories and such, but it also changes hundreds of times a day based on what YOU do: comments, changes to user profiles, subscription expirations, new subscribers, and so on.
NONE OF THAT can be going on when the changeover get made. Even the addition of a single comment would change the database and put the old and the new out of synch. Can't have that.
So when the site is taken down, a placeholder page will be erected with links to listen to the live radio show.
There won't be news, but you WILL be able to hear archives of those night's show(s) and the live show.
I expect the take-down to happen this weekend.
So when you come here and see the site not working except for a placeholder page, you will know what's going on, and that the rebuild work has reached the point where this MUST be done.
