Iran Television SUSPENDS Broadcasts; Now airing only the Quran in anticipation of solemn announcement

Iranian television suspends broadcasting and airs the Quran in preparation for an important announcement regarding the president's plane incident.

Still getting conflicting reports as to whether or not the crashed helicopter has even been found.  Heavy rain and dense fog in the mountainous area where the chopper is believed to have gone down.  Visibility said to be "less than 5 meters."

Iran Army sources say they briefly received locator signals from the helicopter and from the President's satellite phone, but now, I'm told, those signals are gone.

Russia is sending special aircraft and skilled climbing teams to the scene.

Turkey was requested to assist by Iran, and Turkey has approved that request; sending special aircraft and climbing teams.

7:59 PM EDT -- BREAKING NEWS:

Iran Intelligence and Special Forces have raided the Embassy of India on information that India acted against Iranian President Helicopter, on behalf of Israel.

more:

Reportedly Iranian intelligence is on the hunt for an Indian national spotted near the helicopter just hours before President Raisi's boarding.

NOTE: reports say the temperature near where the Iranian president’s chopper apparently crashed has plummeted to around 6°C.   If the crash didn't kill those aboard, exposure certainly can kill them.
