I've Made Some Improvements . . .

I've Made Some Improvements . . .

Now that this website is back to its original form, I've made some improvements that you should find very helpful!

At the top right of the page, there is now a GLOBE.  Clicking on that gets you the flags of all nations and when a visitor clicks their flag, the stories on this site convert to THEIR LANGUAGE.

(Cellphone users say the globe covers the little login button, but turning your phone to landscape -- on its side -- solves that.)  Cellular users can also login with the left menu button (three lines top left) and click the LOGIN item on its dropdown menu.

The top scrolling area will always list all the newest, breaking news.   The text area to the right of that scroller, is the exact same stories, just in text form for those who can't read the scroller or who prefer not to wait for it.  By the way, on some ocmputers, depending on the screen size, those text links appear BENEATH the scrolling pictures at top.

Next, I divided-out the WORLD news from the U.S. National News in the sections that are lower on the page.

World News provides ten stories and, at the bottom, you'll see something new:  An arrow and the words "Click Here for Older World News"

When you click that link, you go to the archive of . . . .  ALL . . . . the stories that ever ran on this site.  Page after page after page in reverse chronological order.  Literally thousands of older stories.

Same with the next section U.S. National News.  That section provides four stories and at the bottom is an arrow with the words "Click Here for older US National News" which, like with World news, get you to . . . . . ALL . . . . . the older news stories.  Literally THOUSANDS of them, in reverse chronological order.

Next comes some space and then the "MUST READ"

By inserting the space, it cleaned-up cellphone display so that nothing shows as being squished on top of each other.

The image gallery is still at the bottom.

These improvements will make the site far more functional, and much easier to see and use.

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS are also coming.  I'll explain that when the system is in and working.

I hope these improvements show that I am really working very hard to provide excellent service to each of you.   It's been painstaking for over a week.  Trial and error.  Changes to one thing, screwed up something else.   Things that worked and looked fine on a Desktop computer, or a laptop computer, turned out to NOT look fine on a cell phone.   It's been a real headache to tweak this and get it right.

Thanks to you, your devotion and your support, all this is getting better by the day.

Thanks so much to all of you who support this effort.
