M6.2 Earthquake SLAMS Baja California, Mexico coastline

A very strong Magnitude 6.2 earthquake has just stuck off Baja California, Mexico, at a very shallow depth of only 12km.  The quake was centered just off the west coast, in the Pacific Ocean.  No Tsunami is expected according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

This was a powerful earthquake and there is expected to be significant damage both in northwestern Mexico and southwestern California, USA.
