After the alleged "Rebellion" by Wagner PMC leader Yevegeni Prigozhin, which was allegedly done because of treachery within the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD), Russian Defense Minister Shoigu is reportedly "in isolation" and being "guarded."
Sources claim the Military Investigative Directorate of Russian Strategic Missile Forces interrogated Sergei Datsko, who, as the head of the DMZ, was responsible for the development and production of UAVs and Moskit, Kh-22, Kh-55 missiles for almost 10 years.
The sources say that it was Datsko who had given Marchukov, the bankruptcy trustee of the Ministry of Defense, a bribe in the form of an apartment for turning a blind eye to the theft in the Moscow region.
The investigation, which allegedly began with a banal bribe for employment in the Ministry of Defense, has now resulted in large–scale thefts at Shoigu's main project – the National Center for State Defense Management (NTSUOG ) ). At the same time, the small investigative department for missile forces has an incredible carte blanche, and it is not clear what "heights" the investigators are allowed to reach. Apartments and other expensive gifts were, so to speak, thanks to Marchukov. And Marchukov had to put up with objects, complexes with obvious traces of not the best condition and gigantic thefts on the way from above.
The list of alleged defendants being investigated in this case is impressive: former commander of division 3 of a separate Air Defense Army (missile attack warning system), former Deputy General Director of PJSC RTI Vyacheslav Lobuzko (arrested); former general designer of a missile attack warning system, former head of RTI Sergey Boev; Major General Oleg Stepanov, head of the Department of Military Representations of the Ministry of Defense; former head of NCUOG, former Deputy Minister of Defense Mikhail Mizintsev (now in PMC Wagner). And then it's not far to Shoigu anymore.
If these sources are accurate, we are talking about a large group of representatives of the Ministry of Defense, who led both the development of the missile attack warning system and the development of missiles and UAVs.
A separate case is the favorite idea of Shoigu NCUOG. The project was announced as a single center for managing all sorts of things: from boiler rooms that heat barracks to rockets. In fact, it turned out to be just a huge office.
Since 2014, the budget for the design and equipment of the center has been constantly increasing, and the amount of household expenses has exceeded 40 billion rubles, which, however, did not bring the desired effect, but only bought beautiful sofas, armchairs, TVs and computers for fabulous money ( bought several times higher than the market value). But the NCUOG did not become a single center.
If these alleged investigations are true, then it would seem - at least on the surface - that Prigozhin's claims of treachery and corruption befuddling the MoD may have been true. Perhaps THAT is why supplies and logistics to Russian forces in Ukraine, seem to have been bogged down, making the fighting force ineffective.
