I was advised this afternoon that global, high frequency radio station WWCR cannot carry my show tonight because violent thunderstorms damaged the roof of a transmitter building, and water was dripping-in above the 100,000 watt transmitter.
As most folks know, severe weather struck from the Gulf of Mexico up through to the northeast US today, bringing tornados to Panama City, FL, severe storms to Tennessee and wintery weather up into the northeast.
WWCR expects the commercial roofer to be on-site tomorrow. Not known how long repairs will take. They will advise me when the transmitter can be brought back online (after drying out).
Shortwave listeners can still tune in via the two other stations that carry my show:
WBCQ on frequency 7490 and frequency 6160
and
WRMI on frequency 5950
