Regular listeners to the Hal Turner Radio Show are aware that one of the stations which carries my show is Radio Miami International (WRMI) in Okeechobee, Florida. The incoming Hurricane will likely affect them.
While Okeechobee is considerably south and east of where Hurricane Milton will make landfall, the wind field of the storm is so large that the wind WILL affect WRMI.
While the global High-Frequency antenna arrays are quite sturdy, the electric power lines may go down, cutting power to the station.
Since its transmitters are all 100,000 watt units, that require two hundred thousand watts of INPUT power, using a generator to keep them on the air is not practical . . . . at all.
So those of you who tune-in on 5950 or 7730 may not be able to hear WRMI because the storm may knock them off the air.
As a reminder, you can still tune-in my show on either WBCQ on frequencies 7490 and 6160, and on WWCR on frequency 7520.
The Global Star Satellite network will remain unaffected.
