On Wednesday, the Russian government held a snap "retaliatory nuclear strike" drill involving the launch of a truck-mounted "YARS" ICBM and a submarine-launched ICBM. The exercise simulated what Russia could do AFTER they were attacked by a nuclear first-strike.
Video released by the Russian Ministry of Defense shows the truck-mounted, mobile, ICBM being erected and launched into the night sky. Later in the video, as the Multiple Independent Re-Entry Vehicle (MIRV) deck come back into earth's atmosphere from space, it is clearly visible high in the night sky, coming back to earth for it's "strike."

Ominously, Russia directed this particular test so that the re-entry could be seen from . . . FINLAND; the most recent country to join NATO.

Why would Russia practice a "retaliatory" strike? Clearly, they did this because they think THEY are going to be hit.
