Former U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor cautioned that should Ukraine deploy U.S.-provided Tomahawk missiles, it might draw the United States into a direct conflict with Russia "within hours."
Macgregor, who served as a senior advisor to the Secretary of Defense during the Trump administration, has long been a vocal critic of U.S. involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
Macgregor argues that providing advanced long-range weapons like Tomahawks crosses a critical "red line," effectively making the U.S. a co-belligerent.
Russia Explicitly Warned . . .
On Monday, October 6, Russia made clear that if the US supplies Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine "It will destroy all the work done over these past months to rebuild US-Russia-relations."
Worse, late last week, Russia reminded everyone that such missiles require American space satellites to guide them to target. As such, an American-supplied missile, guided to target by American satellites, will be treated by Russia as an attack by the United States upon Russia. Russia pointed out that it does not matter who pulls the trigger (i.e. Ukraine) they are American missiles guided by American satellites to target, that would be striking Russia.
Even more horrifying, Russia declared that since the Tomahawk can be armed with EITHER conventional or nuclear warheads, if Russia sees the radar silhouette of a Tomahawk missile coming at Russia, they will have no choice but to treat the missile as nuclear, and launch (their nukes)-on-warning.
RUSSIA MYSTERIOUS RADIO STATION MAKES CODED BROADCAST
Yesterday, when it became clear the US was going to send Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine, Russia's mysterious "Doomsday Radio" UVB-76 (worldwide shortwave) went active again.
It transmitted a cryptic code: НЖТИ 59400 ОРЕХОБРУС 2456 1459.
Observers note similarities to a February, 2022, transmissions or ‘Oreshnik’.
The actual meaning of the transmission remains known only to the sender & receiver.
For what it's worth, the flight times of Oreshnik missiles launched from Russia, are shown on the map below:
The missiles fly at Hypersonic speed and as such, CANNOT be intercepted by missile defenses.
