Russia’s mysterious "Judgment Day" radio station UVB-76, which barely ever makes any transmissions at all, transmitted four coded military messages/instructions today.
UVB-76, also known as "The Buzzer," is a Russian shortwave radio station known for its monotonous buzzing tone and occasional voice transmissions.
It broadcasts on 4625 kHz and is believed by many to be a numbers station, possibly used for covert communication or intelligence gathering.
The cryptic messages:
1) NZHTI - 33 702 - NEPTUN - 66-52-20-75
2) NZHTI - 8002 361 - TIMUS - 56-85
3) NZHTI - 7000 0 8002 - LISOPLASH - 67-203-0808-0809
4) NZHTI - 62 505 - NUTOBAKS - 78 15 92 71
The actual purpose of the radio is not known, but it works since the 70s and usually just transmits the buzzing noise.
Such an activity, of 4 messages in a single day, is extremely unusual!
It is assumed to be for communication to the Russian nuclear triad and other important military units.
High message activity points to something serious going on -- or coming-- but what?
