Ship Attacked, Sunk, Russian Port

Russian authorities confirmed a drone attack on a vessel in Astrakhan’s Olya port, reportedly carrying Iranian ammunition and components for Geran-type UAVs, according to Ukraine’s General Staff.

Governor Igor Babushkin said the vessel was damaged by debris, while an eyewitness claimed the crew was rescued and the ship sunk.

Olya is the largest Russian port in the Caspian region, connecting Russia with the Caspian basin, Persian Gulf, South Asia, and the Middle East.
