I have notified the Satellite re-broadcasting company that, as of September 30, I will no longer be using their services. The daily re-broadcast of my show will end after September 30.
This will also mean the end of my audio archives being on the Jeff Rense website. So if you are one of the people who quit my site because you were getting the shows free, you may want to plan on coming back.
The "free" audio link to nightly radio shows for the general public is being reduced in capacity immediately. It will only be set to allow two-hundred fifty (250) simultaneous listeners. Those who've been listening free can subscribe to this website and get the nightly shows as part of that subscription.
It makes no sense at all for me to keep providing a link for 1500 free listeners then have fewer than two-hundred people donate to support the show every month. My show has value; I bring cutting-edge news to the world every weeknight. If $1 a week is too much to ask for a subscription, then go listen to someone else.
When I do fund raising, I will ask the Shortwave listeners to indicate which radio station they listen on. Any station whose listening audience does not meet the cost (to me) of that station, will see the show ended from that station.
It makes no sense at all to remain on THREE high powered, international radio stations, each with thousands of listeners, and barely get 200 donations a month. If they like the cutting-edge news, the real freedom of speech, then they need to support it. If support doesn't come in, the show will be terminated from that station.
I bust my ass to do a radio show five nights a week, and do this website pretty much seven days a week. Real news. News that actually matters. If what I do is not worth a few bucks support, then go elsewhere.
