A source told me just minutes ago that the United States Government, through the National Defense Authorization Act, (NDAA) has been walking into giant food processing companies and laying Defense Procurement Orders on the CEO's desk, grabbing ALL their production for certain foods.
Canned ANYTHING - meats, vegetables, fruits, etc. - must now go first to government. They're stocking-up all the Deep Underground Military Bases, and the Bunkers.
Other types of processed (but not canned) foods, which are shelf-stable and do not require refrigeration, are also being grabbed under similar Defense Procurement Orders. Rice, Beans, Pasta, JARRED foods - are all being grabbed.
I was told just minutes ago, that by this Thanksgiving, people will be able to see fifty percent of supermarket store shelves EMPTY.
That same source told me that by Christmas, "It will all be gone."
Get what you can get, when you can get it. Because once it's gone, it's gone.
