Switzerland Sending School Kids Home Early today --- Tomorrow NATO "Exercise" Ends . . . . War?

I received and email from a Reader in Switzerland early Thursday morning (5:58 AM eastern US Time) reporting that school children in Switzerland's state of Vaud are being sent home at 1:00 local time today so Teachers can get out.   Is kinetic war between Russia and NATO coming tomorrow when the NATO exercise ends?

I have deleted the sender's personal information, but here is the text of his email to me:

Dear Mr. Turner,

My son coming from school at noon today, telling me that all outside
activities for school children in the "state/canton" we live in canceled
starting one o'clock PM this afternoon with order to all teachers to
return immediately! Order given by "la gendarmerie" (equivalent to
police or military police in France). Official explanation is "thunder
and bad weather" ... Mhhh, NEVER EVER encountered such idiot and
groundless explanation in my 50 years of live!

If I understand correctly videoconference provided to teachers this
afternoon.......

Thought good idea to inform you Hal!

God bless you, take care and thank you for your wonderful work.

Yours Sincerely,

Switzerland calls its states "Cantons."   The Canton of Vaud is in the far west of Switzerland, on the border of France.

The scalable map below shows the region:

I checked the weather forecast for Vaud, Switzerland, and YES, the forecast says some severe Thunderstorms with heavy rain may take place there today, but who sends kids home from school over Thunderstorms?????  Seems ridiculous.
