Syrian Air Defenses Active Over Damascus; Israeli Attack - Many Casualties

Syrian AD active over Damascus, state media says "hostile targets" are being engaged. Looks like an Israeli attack is underway.

Israeli Air Force (IAF) air strikes underway in the area of Damascus . . .  warplanes came from Lebanese airspace and are currently attacking Damascus, Syria.

Echoes of explosions heard in the sky of the capital Damascus.

From Intelligence Source inside Israel: "The Israeli Air Force is striking Iranian targets in and around Damascus. These strikes degrade Iran’s ability to amass and arm terrorists on Israel’s borders, and also degrade the Iranian facilities that build drones for Putin’s brutal invasion of Ukraine."

Air defense was active from Al-Mezzah Airbase, along with reports of an impact there, also Damascus Intl. Airport.

13 people were killed and 7 others were injured in an Israeli missile attack on Kafar Sousah, Damascus - SANA

The area was reportedly near an "Iranian" center, which is unconfirmed. yet, some Iranian-regime "media activists" say they're not ruling out a targeted-assassination.

Apparently, an IRGC commander was the target.

There are a few IRGC commanders operating in #Syria whom #Israel has had its eyes on like #Iran IRGC-AF deputy coordinator Fereydoun Mohammadi Saghaei who has visited Damascus several times to talk air defense systems.

The air strikes that have hit targets in Kafr Sousa area in the heart of Damascus confirm the strength of Israeli intelligence and the importance of the targeted individuals.

The Israeli attack targeted a delegation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard inside a residential apartment in neighborhood inside the capital.

There are Iranian and Hezbollah leaders killed in Israeli strikes on Kafr Sousse in the capital, Damascus.
