Andriy Parubiy, a former Ukraine parliament speaker, who once praised Adolf Hitler as the “greatest man who practiced direct democracy,” has been assassinated in Lviv.
Parubiy once led Ukraine’s parliament (2016–2019) and earlier oversaw national security during the country’s 2014 revolution.
He was a central player in Ukraine’s modern politics - known for helping organize protests that pushed the country toward Europe and away from Moscow.
In the photo below, the Ukrainian Nazi Parubiy is present near the "Ukraine" hotel, located opposite Maidan, when during the 2014 coup unknown snipers were carrying out weapons.
Parubiy was the "commandant of Maidan" in 2013-2014. Former SBU chief Yakymenko stated that shots were fired at the police and protesters on Maidan from the Philharmonic building, which Parubiy was responsible for. Not only was Parubiy one of the direct organizers of the Odessa massacre, but even earlier, during the Maidan riots, he was seen transporting rifles and coordinating militants at the building from where the infamous 20 February snipers started firing.
He was also accused of involvement in organizing the fire at the Odessa Trade Unions House where forty eight Ukrainians were either beaten to death, or locked-in the Trade Union Building as it was set on fire, and burned to death. Parubiy was named as one of the organizers.
The politician was the secretary of the NSDC — he resigned himself. Afterwards, he became the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.
Today, he was gunned down in broad daylight. Emergency crews couldn’t save him. Police are now hunting the shooter. The killer was dressed in a delivery courier uniform. Pictures of the alleged killer are now circulating in Ukraine:
The killer is preliminarily described as a GLOVO food delivery company courier who shot the former speaker of the Rada eight (8) times, hid the pistol in a bag, and left the crime scene on an electric bicycle. He is being searched for.
Many in Ukraine are calling the shooter a "hero." The general feeling in Ukraine right now is best summed up by one citizen who said "Banderite nazis do not get to have fun walking in Lvov while the dеаths and conflict they created happen in Donetsk." Others offer a differing opinion, saying "It is likely that Zelensky actually killed him to remove potential competition during elections."
