Something is definitely "up" with President Trump who is wrapping-up his 4-day Middle East business project. Today, Trump told assembled media something extremely strange . . . .
Speaking to media in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Trump said
". . . a massive project, and it's going to be brought through the United States, largely. It's an honor to be here, and the last four days have been really amazing; I think they've been amazing. But it shows you where our country can go. And I want to thank all of my team, Howard, Scott, everybody. They've done an amazing job.
So we'll be leaving tomorrow as you know; almost destination unknown, because, we're getting calls . . . could you be here, could you be there . . . but probably going back to Washington, DC tomorrow . . ."
No leader of any country, doesn't know his own schedule; especially a President of the United States. His trips, visits, appearances, are scheduled WAAAAAAAAAAAY in advance. Mostly because there such huge security considerations when a President of the US travels anywhere. GIGANTIC security considerations.
So what's __really__ going on around the world, that our President would be open to having his schedule be so unusual from today into tomorrow???????
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a separate location, speaking about a separate issue, may have inadvertently given us insight. Speaking to assembled media about the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Secretary Rubio said "
"I want to be frank, I don't think . . . We don't have high expectations of what will happen tomorrow" (with the Ukraine-Russia Negotiators meeting in Istanbul, Turkey) "and frankly, at this point, I think it's abundantly clear that, the only way we're going to have a breakthrough here is between President Trump and President Putin. It's going to require that level of engagement to have a breakthrough in this matter. I don't think anything productive is actually going to happen from this point forward until they engage in a very frank and direct conversation, which I know President Trump is willing to do."
Well, it's not a far trip from Abu Dhabi to Istanbul for Trump to make. And It's not a far trip from Moscow to Istanbul for Putin to make. Sooooooooo . . . . might we see two of the three most powerful men in the world sit down with each other tomorrow? I, for one, hope so.
This Ukraine nonsense MUST be brought to a stop because it is the spark that is leading us all to World War 3.
One thing is clear: If Trump flies back to Washington, DC tomorrow without having met Putin, that's a massive signal of what's to come. All bad.
