Against the background of statements from Iran about its readiness to use its troops against Azerbaijan over Armenia, in the event of a new escalation in the region, it became known that Turkey launched its attack unmanned aerial vehicles into the sky, one of which, accidentally or purposefully, violated the airspace of Iran and was exposed to electronic warfare.
According to information provided by Iranian journalist Khayal Muazzin, at least one Turkish attack unmanned aerial vehicle entered Iranian airspace during the night.
Judging by the data of the Flightradar 24 resource, the drone was subjected to a massive electronic warfare attack, as evidenced by its sharply changed altitude and flight speed.
It is also known that last night, another Turkish attack drone, a Bayraktar TB2, was sent to the borders of Iran, which approached the border of the Islamic republic but kept a distance of several kilometers.
Azerbaijan recently began firing artillery, mortars, and Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) into Armenia but has since stopped. It appears that Azeerbaijan wants to forcibly seize the southern part of Armenia so as to link it with the primarily Azerbaijani area of Nakhchivan, thus affording a direct land route from Azerbaijan into Turkey.
But if Azerbaijan were to do that, then Armenia would lose its southern border with Iran. Neither Armenia nor Iran want to lose that direct land contact.
The Armenians have a small military, but it is clearly no match for Azerbaijan which showed, last year, it could (and did) take another area of Armenia called Nagorno-Karabakh.
For its part, Turkey supports Azerbaijan. But Iran supports Armenia.
