The United States will, today, designate the Cartel de los Soles in Venezuela as a "Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO)".
Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro is alleged to be the head of Cartel de los Soles.
As such, this would provide the legal basis for the United States to use military force against Venezuela pursuant to the 2001 AUMF (Authorization for Use of Military Force) which has never been repealed by Congress.
But there are problems . . .
Over this past weekend, President Trump was allegedly informed by the US Military, that Venezuela is now utilizing both Russian and Chinese "Quantum" radar.
According to Intelligence Community sources deemed reliable, this new "Quantum" radar is such that it not only looks for radar returns to identify air intrusions, it also looks at air disruption; the kind of disruption caused by jet engines and a winged aircraft being propelled in those disruptions.
According to UNVERIFIED intelligence information, "Quantum" radar makes stealth aircraft DETECTABLE.
According to a source familiar with the situation, US Naval vessels in the Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela detected both Russian and Chinese radar signals. They alerted the Pentagon which began verification procedures.
I have been told the Naval Air Station in Key West, was able to intercept the distant Radar signals from Venezuela, thereby allegedly verifying the situation.
Those same sources say that President Trump was so furious that Russia and China seem to have given Venezuela state-of-the-art military defenses, he boarded Air Force One at about 4:00 in the morning on Friday night into Saturday, and flew from West Palm Beach to Key West to see the radar return information himself.
The fact that today's coming designation of Cartel de los Soles as an FTO is coming anyway, ___may___ indicate the US has figured out a way to jam or otherwise defeat the reported "Quantum" radar, clearing the way for a US attack.
