The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in its official statement today, SEEMS -- to many people -- to have effectively withdrawn from the peace negotiation track.

 The main points of the Ukrainian MFA:

• Ukraine will never recognize any part of its territory as Russian. Including Crimea.
• No third country will be able to prohibit Ukraine from joining NATO or the EU.
•  Ukraine will never agree to a reduction in the army, military industry, or limitation of aid from partners.

If this is the actual, official, position of Ukraine, - and that's a real question because the entire country is such a cluster-muck -- then everything President Trump, Secretary Rubio, and Envoy Witkoff have done for the past 100 days, to try to work out a peace deal, was all for naught. 

From today's MFA statement, it is clear that Ukraine has not budged one inch from its original, completely unrealistic, and totally unsustainable position.  

Perhaps this is some lame attempt at "posturing?"

Barring any correction issued by Ukraine, the general consensus out here in the real world is that Ukraine is either Delusional or suicidal.

As a matter of irrefutable fact, Ukraine does not have the weapons, the ammunition, or the manpower to achieve what the MFA said today, and they have ZERO hope of ever having the weaponry, ammunition, or (biggest of all) the manpower.

If this position espoused by the MFA is accurate, and if Ukraine tries to adhere to this position, they would be leaving Russia no choice but to completely obliterate all of Ukraine and wipe the country off the map of the world forever; which Russia absolutely, positively, CAN do.

Europe can't prevent that.  Neither can the USA unless both become directly involved in a direct conflict with Russia . . . . which would be actual World War 3.  No rational person believes Ukraine is worth that.

Moreover, if this is the actual position of Ukraine, it is almost 100% assured that US President Donald Trump will walk away, and take all US military aid with him.
