US Navy Denies Houthi Claim; Shot Down E-2 Hawkeye Aircraft over Red Sea

The United States Navy denies claims coming out of Yemen which allege the Houthis "targeted" or "shot down" an E-2 Hawkeye aircraft from the USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier.

Numerous reports are circulating on social media claiming the Houthi's "targeted" the aircraft, with other claims saying the Houthis "shot down" or "destroyed" that aircraft.

A spokesperson from the US Navy at the Pentagon told me this morning "From the Navy's point of view, those claims are false."
