US special forces have launched a ground operation against the Islamic State of the Somalia Province (ISSP), in the Baalade Valley, Puntland, Somalia.
Violent clashes are presently underway between US troops and ISSP in the Cal-Miskaad mountain range.
Initial media intelligence reports indicate at least 100 US special forces are carrying out the ground operation.
No word about any of this from the Pentagon or from the White House.
