As most readers and listeners know, I am in my Pennsylvania home. Got a little snow over the past day, nothing much. The forecast, though, tells me I'm in the twelve inch zone for a storm _supposedly_ coming up the coast Monday into Wednesday.
In fact, believe it or not, they just used the "B" word . . . . Blizzard!
The 0z NAM absolutely crushes #NEPA with #snow on Monday and Tuesday. This would be a Blizzard on the anniversary of two of our biggest snow storms ever. 1993 and 2017. #wxtwitter #pawx pic.twitter.com/2lL1aqicCf

I brought in about 70 pieces of firewood. Seven trips with ten logs each. Pathetic me, got winded. I guess two heart attacks and open heart surgery will do that to a man. Will probably bring in 30 more pieces before nightfall, just to have a good supply in the house.
I checked the oil in the emergency generator. It's fine; clean and full. Probably should have started it up, but I didn't. Can do that tomorrow just to make sure.
Out here in the country when it snows big, trees go down. And when they go down, they tend to take out the power lines. So, gotta be ready.
Have plenty of food.
Got a propane gas delivery on March 6th. Took 160 gallons over two months; so that's about 80 gallons a month. Have four hundred gallons in tanks on-site, so as long as I have electric, I'll have heat. If the electric goes out, I have the generator. If that fails, I have a wood burning stove.
I know 70-100 logs of firewood in the house isn't much, but there's plenty more in two wood sheds on the property, so I'm completely good on that front.
WOW does that wood burning stove throw off heat! Used it yesterday - got the house up to eighty (80) degrees. It was stiflingly hot!
The truck is fueled-up and I added Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), so that's good. The snow plow pick up truck is fueled and ready, so that's good.
I have a couple hundred pounds of calcium chloride ice-melter, so I'm good there. Have a snow blower and manual shovels too.
I don't like using that ice-melter stuff because all the walkways are wood, and that chemical is hell on the wood. Shoveling and a good sweep is what I usually do.
Phones, cell phone, Cable-modem for Internet, cellular data modem back-up for internet, dual satellite uplink fail-overs for Internet, all up and running and good.
UPS back-ups connected to all the communications gear, and functioning within normal parameters.
I opened all the windows a couple hours ago just to air-out the whole house. Gotta do that from time to time, even in the winter, because the air inside gets stale. Got down to 50 degrees in the house! BRRRRRRR.
Closed it all up about an hour later and cranked up the heat to get it warm again.
Changed the bed sheets and pillow cases. Washed the used sheets and they're in the dryer.
Gotta figure out what to eat for dinner. For some reason, I don't eat a lot when I'm up here alone. Not sure why, I just don't.
Anyway, lazy day. But it's nice to be here. QUIET. No aggravation.
Thanks be to God.
