White House budget director Shalanda Young warned in a letter to Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson and other congressional leaders on Monday that the United States was running out of time and money to help Ukraine fight its war with Russia.
President Joe Biden's administration in October asked Congress for nearly $106 billion to fund ambitious plans for Ukraine, Israel and U.S. border security.
Republicans control the House of Representatives with a slim majority, and funding for Ukraine has become politically controversial with some right-leaning lawmakers.
Young said in a letter released by the White House that cutting off funding and a flow of weapons to Ukraine would increase the likelihood of Russian victories.
"I want to be clear: without congressional action, by the end of the year we will run out of resources to procure more weapons and equipment for Ukraine and to provide equipment from U.S. military stocks," she wrote. "There is no magical pot of funding available to meet this moment. We are out of money — and nearly out of time."
EDITORIAL OPINION
The end is nigh for Ukraine, and they will, finally, lose the conflict with Russia.
To anyone with __any__ level of intellect, this was a foregone conclusion.
Sadly, very many people in the US and NATO Governments - especially in the military -- don't seem to have much intellect these days; they deluded themselves into believing Ukraine had any chance at all.
Ukraine never had any chance. They lost the moment the Russian Army crossed the border in February 2022.
Those of us who actually have the ability to think critically, to apply logic, and recall actual history, knew this from day one of the conflict.
Readers of this web site and listeners to the radio show have know since day one of this conflict, that Ukraine had no chance at all because I have repeatedly told those folks the facts.
The morons running the US government - especially the unschooled nitwits in the US Department of Defense - utterly ignored history, which shows the Russian Army won much of World War 2 against Nazi Germany, and have remembered and celebrated that hard-won victory for 75 years.
Did these people in the Pentagon ever even stop to consider the effect that actual NAZIS in the present Ukraine government (and military) would have upon Russia? Apparently not.
Russia lost twenty-seven-million people fighting the Nazis in World War 2. Did the Pentagon think that Russia forgot that cost and would simply keel-over or ignore the new Nazis in Ukraine? If that's what they thought, it was stupidity on stilts.
The politicians, of course, are the lowest form of intellect on the planet; who think if they get the media to "Rah-Rah" any cause of the moment, that will turn into a "win." These political dimwits now see they were wrong and don't know how to admit defeat gracefully.
Amazingly, the low-intellect, easily-manipulated, affirmative-action hireling, Shalanda Young, seems to be oblivious to these facts, to history, and to reality, as she writes to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, asking for more money for Ukraine.
How can the United States or its NATO allies stop making the same mistakes, over and over, with useful idiots like this in positions of power?
