Twelve United States Senators appear to have committed a federal felony in their zeal to protect Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, from Indictment or Arrest Warrant from the International Criminal Court.
On April 24, 2024, twelve US Senators sent a letter on official U.S. Senate stationery, to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.
In the letter the Senators told the court they objected to the potential issuance of arrest warrants for Netanyahu and perhaps other members of the Israel government. They argued the court has no jurisdiction and then they said this:
"Target Israel and we will target you. If you move forward with the measures indicated in the report, we will move to end all American support for the ICC, sanction your employees and associates, and bar you and your families from the United States. You have been warned."
Here is the full letter:
This letter appears to violate the highlighted area of Title 18, United States Code, Sub-Section 1503, shown below, which reads as follows:
Specifically, the particular section of law which appears to have been broken states:
". . . or by any threatening letter or communication, influences, obstructs, or impedes, or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede, the due administration of justice, . . ."
Note that in other sections of the law, certain actions are limited to "Courts in the United States." However, the highlighted section above DOES NOT limit the activity to "courts in the United States."
Hal Turner Editorial Opinion
It appears to me that twelve United States Senators did, in fact, send a threatening letter in which they did "endeavor to influence, obstruct, impede, the due administration of justice" the International criminal court.
The evidence appears as plain as day. They even signed their crime!
Moreover, they didn't just utter this threat here in the United States where it may be arguable they have immunity. They SENT IT to the International Criminal Court at The Hague. By SENDING it to a foreign country, it appears they established a sufficient factual nexus to invoke the jurisdiction of that court, and of The Netherlands!
These twelve U.S. Senators should be arrested, charged, Indicted, and criminally prosecuted here in the United States. They are not above our law.
If the United States fails or refuses to arrest and prosecute these men, then the International Criminal Court, should issue arrest warrants for each of them so that in the future, when these men travel to any country which is party to the ICC, they can be arrested in that country and extradited for trial.
