Just had a "Country Life" Moment!

Just had a "Country Life" Moment!

I'm sitting here at my desk at the "Bugout" house in Pennsylvania.  It's 7:02 PM EDT and already pitch-black outside.

I have the windows open to air out the house.

Suddenly, I hear one of the feral cats that my mom used to feed - and which I still feed - Hissing and whining LOUDLY on the front porch.   I get up and walk to the window.

I see a white and gold cat - usually seen at my neighbors house -- trotting away from my house down the wood walkway.   He must have come over to try to eat MY feral cat's food on the porch.  I walk out on the porch and give a Roar" to scare him away.

He knows I don't like him and don't want him here, so when I come around, he runs!

When I roared, he took off like lightning.

With that, I hear this loud snorting sound coming from the pitch black lower half acre.  I knew it immediately: Deer Snort.   Then a second.  Then a third.

I walk back in the house from the porch and grab a flashlight, and when I come out, I hear the thrashing sound of hooves trotting across the creek.   Must have been about six deer on my lower half acre!

I thought to myself: Here I am, deeply involved in grabbing news from around the world, while right outside my own doorstep is the beauty of God's creation and living nature.

I much prefer God's creation and living nature than news from the world.
