NYPD officers converged on a Queens intersection where a live Hand Grenade was found outside a Chase Bank Tuesday, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
Traffic was halted in the area, near 112th Street and Liberty Avenue, after a call about the suspicious device came in around 11:20 a.m. Hours later, it still appeared to be shut down.
A bomb squad truck and other emergency vehicles were seen parked under an elevated subway track. The MTA said trains on the A line were bypassing that station as a precaution. They resumed regular service shortly after 2 p.m.
Police say their investigation is ongoing. They didn't immediately say whether the grenade was live.
Elsewhere in the city, reports are coming in saying TWO MORE EXPLOSIVE DEVICES have been found and rendered safe.
