META (Facebook) Laying-off 5% of Workforce!

Meta will begin layoffs Monday at 5 a.m., with cuts targeting 5% of staff, according to an internal memo.

Employees in Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands are exempt due to local labor laws, while layoffs in other countries will follow between Feb. 11-18.

Meanwhile, Meta is expediting hiring for AI and machine learning engineers, prioritizing business-critical roles over general staff retention.
