Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense for the United States, was admitted to a hospital in December for Prostate Cancer surgery.
A little over one week ago, he had to be taken by ambulance to Walter Reid Army Hospital with "severe pain" which turned out to be complications from that Prostate Cancer surgery, including a serious infection.
Austin was placed in the Intensive Care Unit for a brief time, but is now out of that unit.
It is not known for how much longer he will be in hospital, or what his recovery time may be once he is released.
(HT Remark: As most readers know, I do NOT like Lloyd Austin, or approve of the job he is doing. BUT . . . . I wish him a speedy recovery back to health, nonetheless.
Health issues, even in people I dislike, can strike any single one of us. There, but for the Grace of God, goes me.
Health issues really suck. I know. I've had a few of my own.
It's through health issues that we humans find out how fragile we truly are; how fleeting our lives can be.
I do not wish health issues upon anyone. I truly hope Lloyd Austin gets well, soon.)
