Twenty-nine years ago today, men blew up the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in retaliation for the Feds Slaughter of Branch Davidians in Waco, TX two years earlier on the same date.
That federal building was the location where the Waco Massacre was planned by the feds, and it got blown up as retaliation for what happened in Waco.
Two years earlier, In Waco, TX, federal agents tried to raid the Branch Davidian Church over alleged weapons sales. It didn't go as the government planned.
The feds wanted to arrest Branch Davidian leader David Koresh. The guy went out jogging every morning, and they __could have __ grabbed him while jogging, but instead, they wanted to be the big tough guys, and raid his compound to make the arrest.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms went in like gangbusters, shooting. The Branch Davidians shot back and killed a number of ATF agents.
A ferocious gun battle went on for hours, and the feds sought a cease-fire so they could recover their dead and wounded.
The Branch Davidians granted the cease-fire. That single decision turned out to be the worst decision they ever made.
The feds recovered their dead and wounded, then called in reinforcements, and laid siege to the Branch Davidian property for over 50 days.
At the end, the feds sent M-60 Armored Combat Engineering vehicles to punch holes in the walls of the church and fire CS gas cannisters into the Church where the Branch Davidians were holed-up. When those cannisters exploded to deploy the gas, they started fires inside the wooden church structure.
When the Branch Davidians tried to escape the flames, federal agents shot at them to either kill them, or force them back inside.
Forward-looking infra-red cameras mounted on news helicopters that were covering the story, prove the muzzle flashes from the feds firing at the Branch Davidians trying to flee the flames. The cameraman who got that footage, "died" shortly after revealing the facts.
Over 80 men, women, and children burned to death in the flames because they couldn't go outside for fear of being shot. Here's video of the fire beginning in the Church:
After the feds slaughtered all those people, Timothy McVeigh and other men planned the retaliatory attack upon the Murrah Building, then carried out that attack on this day, 29 years ago.
LESSON LEARNED BY AMERICNS: Don't ever give the US federal government a cease fire. Go out and defeat them because if you don't, they will kill you for opposing them and fighting for yourself.
FWIW
Incidentally, when Timothy McVeigh was later sentenced to die, he was held at the Federal Correctional Institution in Terre Haute, Indiana, which is - to this day - the __only__ place in the federal prison system where the Death Penalty is carried out.
McVeigh was held in Cell #2, Unit "D" (For Death).
In December, 2010, after three federal criminal trials, I, Hal Turner, was sent to federal prison for writing an editorial the Obama Regime didn't like. I was designated to go to the same Federal Correctional Institution in Terre Haute as Timothy McVeigh.
For a brief period, I was held in Cell #2, Unit "D" which is no longer the death unit . . . which has been moved to the nearby Federal Penitentiary in Terre Haute.
In that cell, I sat my bare butt on the same toilet used by Timothy McVeigh. I slept on the same bunk that he had slept on. I looked out the same cell window he looked out.
So that's what the federal government of the United States thinks of ME! That's what they did to me over an Editorial they didn't like.
Freedom of speech? Doesn't exist. Freedom of the Press? Doesn't exist. Right to be free from Excessive bail? Doesn't exist. The right to compel witnesses to testify on your behalf? Doesn't exist. I know. I lived it.
The Constitution for the united States isn't worth the paper its written on anymore; It's all hollowed-out now.
I thought you might find that interesting.
