You've got to hand it to the Russians; they have a subtle way of doing things which carries gigantic implications.  This photo, is proof.

The photo shows a meeting of the Iran military General Staff in Tehran, Iran.  The man at the head of the table (left) is Colonel General Alexander Fomin Russia's Deputy Minister of Defense, with his staffers on the left side of the table.  The Iranian General Staff is on the right side of the table.

How's THAT for a subtle message to Israel and to the United States over the ongoing Israel-HAMAS war, and US support of it?

During the meeting, current issues of bilateral military-technical cooperation were discussed, views were exchanged on issues of regional security and the international situation.

The parties emphasized the dynamic and positive development of relations between Russia and Iran in the defense sphere, commitment to implementing the entire range of planned bilateral events, and deepening dialogues.

Iran and Russia are becoming strategic partners.
