An exhibition commemorating the 210th anniversary of the capture of Paris by the Russian army has opened in Moscow.
On March 19, 1814, Russian troops, as part of the 6th anti-Napoleon coalition, seized Paris.
Instead of seeking revenge for the devastation of Moscow a year earlier, Tsar Alexander I declared his intent to bring peace to France. Consequently, Paris suffered no damage.
On that day, the key to the city was presented to the Tsar, who then led the triumphant Coalition armies into Paris.
It sure looks like history could repeat itself, but France may not be as fortunate this time as it was 210 years ago.
If France continues arming Ukraine to attack Russia, and carries-out its "idea" to send French troops into Ukraine to fight Russia, Paris may see Russian troops seize Paris yet again.
