OP-ED --
Speaking in Turkey, around what is _supposed_ to be a peace negotiation, Ukraine's (now-term-expired) "President" said . . .
"We cannot discuss territorial issues. We are ready and willing to discuss what is happening, what the humanitarian crises are. But despite all the discussions, we do not legally recognize the 'temporarily occupied territories' as Russian," the Ukrainian leader said.
So the fact that the people of Crimea VOTED in a UN-observed, Public Referendum, and decided they would secede from Ukraine and return home to Russia, is somehow "not recognized" by him?
The fact that Russia allowed Crimea to accede to Russia is also "not recognized" by him?
The fact that he has not had possession of Crimea since the year 2014, also is "not recognized?"
This guy clearly has the intellect of a rock.
Worse, his elected term of office expired last May. He is no longer lawfully serving, yet he acts as though he is still "President."
The icing on the cake: His country passed a law making it ILLEGAL to negotiate with Russia, yet there he is, in Turkey, with staff, to do what? Oh, yea . . . . negotiate with Russia. Against his own law!
So the law doesn't matter and his expired term of office doesn't matter either, the vote to secede doesn't matter. The ONLY thing that matters is what he and his little band of Nazi retards say?
I don't think so.
I think this guy is too far gone mentally. It seems to me, there's no reasoning with him. And he certainly cannot be trusted to honor his word or anything he signs, as proved by the 2015 Minsk Agreement. I think he has to go. I think he can't be there anymore.
The Russian Army should seek permission from the Russian government to directly target Zelensky himself.
This situation is untenable and should not go on. But that's all up to the Russians.
