Life outside New York City is getting more interesting. A deer smashed through the windshield of a Jeep, and caused a two-vehicle crash Wednesday on Route 21 in Passaic County, New Jersey, about 6 miles west of New York City, according to police.
The Jeep was headed south on Route 21 at about 7:40 AM in Clifton when the deer “jumped or fell off the Route 3 overpass” and crashed through the windshield, said Detective Lt. Robert Bracken, police spokesman.
“This caused the driver of the vehicle to strike concrete barrier and then crash into another vehicle traveling southbound,” Bracken said.
The 45-year-old driver of the Jeep was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The other driver was not hurt. The deer was killed.
