The photo above, taken eighty years ago today, April 25, shows troops from the United States meeting-up with troops from the Soviet Union, at the Elbe River, in Germany. Both the Americans and the Russians battled the NAZIS.

The Americans battled-in from Normandy, France, against the NAZIS. The Soviets battled-in from Russia, forcing the NAZIs to retreat all the way back to Germany.

The Americans and the Russians greeted each other triumphantly, at the Elbe River.
